Great news for the streaming world - Adobe Media Server 5.0 is finally available for all platforms (Linux + Windows), and in all editions.
It includes Adobe Access Protected Streaming not only for HTTP Dynamic Streaming (PHDS), but also for HTTP Live Streaming (PHLS) - it means you can deploy DRM protected content on iOS now with or without Adobe Access license server. It is a robust enhancement over Apple's standard encrypted HLS streaming.
Adobe's Kevin Towes has a more in-depth official blog post explaining the editions, and highlighting the SeaTV iOS DRM demo application.
